About Me

Hey, I’m Florian Krämer
a software engineer and certified software architect. I started programming around 2000 and specialized in building web applications—primarily with PHP, or whatever I can get my hands on. I’m transitioning to C# and love anything object-oriented.

- Architected the Unified Commerce foundation for the Spryker Commerce OS.
- Implemented a security incident workflow and process in a department in collaboration with a security team.
- Introduced performance and quality metrics in collaboration with a QA team.
- Architected a modular monolith system (“Modulith”) based on Clean Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture principles to enable microservices later on, from the ground up, for the new version of ClipMyHorse.TV, one of the world’s largest horse sport streaming portals.
How I am
- I’m intrinsically motivated, I love my profession, architecture and technology.
- Understanding new businesses and domains is something I like, I’m curious by nature.
- I like to learn new things.
- I’m a clean code & architecture advocate.
- DDD – Domain-Driven Design. Communication and processes that ultimately manifest in great code are what I like and believe in, without being dogmatic.
- Being an architect is more than technology – teams, people and social interactions are part of the process.
- I like to refactor legacy systems if I get the opportunity to do so.
- SOLID, YAGNI - Concepts that create good code.
- Frameworks are just tools, I’m not dogmatic about them.
- While I’m proficient in PHP, I love to work on C# and Java-related projects as well.
- Artificial intelligence 🤖, neural networks - super interesting!
- Inspired by Eric Evans, Martin Fowler, Matthias Noback, Vaughn Vernon, Robert C. Martin, Dave Farley and others.
- I’m grateful to anyone who gave and will give me a chance to grow my skills and knowledge. 🙇
